From steel bar to PGM-tolerance hole
Eight in-house stages. The two that decide a drill bit's life — brazing and heat treatment — run on automatic German lines, not by hand.
STEP 01
Blank turning
Alloy structural steel bar stock is cut and turned to shank and body dimensions.
STEP 02
CNC flute grinding
Flutes are milled on CNC lines for consistent dust clearance and concentricity.
STEP 03
Automatic brazing at 1200 °C
Carbide tips are brazed on German MAHLER automatic lines — no hand torch, no missed joints.
STEP 04
Heat treatment
Continuous furnace hardening and tempering of the body for impact toughness.
STEP 05
Tip grinding
Carbide cutting edges are ground to the specified angles and checked for symmetry.
STEP 06
Sandblasting & marking
Sandblasted finish, laser or stamp marking with size and your brand if required.
STEP 07
Inspection
Diameter, tip symmetry and run-out checked against PGM tolerances before packing.

Packing

PGM (Prüfgemeinschaft Mauerbohrer e.V.) is the German testing association for masonry drill bits. Certified bits are tested for hole diameter tolerance, tip symmetry and drilling performance so that anchors set correctly in the holes they make. Dehui has been a PGM member since 2009; the certification covers our SDS Plus (DH01), SDS Max (DH02) and cylindrical-shank impact (DH04) series.
What is your MOQ?
100–200 pcs per size for drill bits and chisels, 200 sets for boxed sets. Mixed sizes in one order are welcome — most distributors order a full size run per series.
Can you make our private label?
Yes. We laser-mark your brand on the shank and print blister cards, cases and retail boxes with your artwork. We also supply two domestic brands (DEWEI, SHENGDI) from the same lines, so private-label production is routine for us.
Do your SDS Plus bits fit Bosch, Hilti and Makita hammers?
Yes. SDS Plus and SDS Max are standard shank systems; our bits fit every rotary hammer with the matching chuck, including Bosch, Hilti TE, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee and Metabo.
How are the carbide tips attached?
By automatic brazing at 1200 °C on German MAHLER lines, followed by furnace heat treatment. Automatic brazing gives a consistent joint on every bit — the main cause of tip loss on cheap bits is hand-torch brazing with uneven heat.
What is the lead time?
20–30 days for standard sizes after deposit; samples ship in 5–7 days. Private-label packaging adds about one week for artwork approval and printing.
What payment and shipping terms do you offer?
T/T 30% deposit, balance before shipment or L/C at sight. FOB Ningbo / Shanghai; we also arrange CIF to Singapore, Port Klang, Jebel Ali and Dammam on request.
